Election Information

The City of Wadley will hold its next municipal election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This year’s election includes the office of Mayor and three City Council seats currently held by Ezee Carter, John “Tubby” Maye, and Kendrick McBride.

How the Election Works

Non-Partisan Elections
City of Wadley elections are non-partisan, meaning political parties do not hold primaries for city offices. All candidates’ names appear on the ballot without party labels.

Election by Plurality
Wadley uses the plurality rule for all elections. This means the candidate with the highest number of votes wins—there is no requirement to secure more than half of the votes cast. This method applies to every city election and ensures a clear and timely result, allowing the city to move forward efficiently after the election.
