The City of Wadley Completes Lead Service Line Inventory Program
The City of Wadley is pleased to announce the completion of our Lead Service Line Inventory program, a significant step in safeguarding the quality of our community’s drinking water. Conducted in line with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, this initiative was designed to identify and document all lead service lines within our distribution system.
Our team conducted a comprehensive investigation, including historical record reviews, field surveys, and collaboration with residents to verify the materials used in public and private water service lines. The inventory results categorized each service line as lead, non-lead, galvanized (requiring replacement), or lead status unknown.
Key Findings:
- Total service lines in Wadley’s system
- Number of confirmed lead service lines
- Number of service lines with unknown materials
- Number of non-lead service lines
In line with our commitment to transparency, we have made the complete Lead Service Line Inventory Report available for public review upon request. This report details our methods, data analysis, and future steps for addressing identified lead lines.
